Sometimes, a new chapter begins in a place where you least expect it. For us — Giverny and Rogier — that place was a warm beach on Koh Samui, Thailand. As the sun set and the sky turned gold, we talked about our passions: interior design, art, craftsmanship, and the desire to create something truly meaningful together. What started as a spontaneous conversation became the foundation of a dream: RG Exclusives.
Giverny has a background in the fashion world, with training as a seamstress and a degree in Fashion & Design. Her eye for refinement, balance, and material use forms the basis of our first product line: exclusive, handmade cushions that blend luxury with comfort. From a young age, interior design has been her language — a way to express atmosphere, beauty, and personality.
Rogier grew up in an environment where art was ever-present. His father, master forger R.J.C. Driessen, made craftsmanship a daily source of inspiration. Art, authenticity, and artisanship have been the common thread throughout Rogier’s life. With a degree in International Trade & Management and years of experience in hospitality, he brings a strong sense of curation, luxury, and service.
There, on that evening in Koh Samui, all the pieces fell into place. The idea of a webshop with exclusive items for in and around the home felt not only logical, but deeply personal. We saw how our worlds fit together seamlessly: Giverny’s sense of style and design, Rogier’s background in art and hospitality, and our shared love for quality.
